Reporting to the site director, you will be a part of the site leadership team assisting to guide our efforts at our Cincinnati, OH manufacturing facility. Lead the function while influencing the site at large. You will work with the entire management team helping them improve the business, and will partner with your regional peers for best practices.

  • Lead and Influence: Manage and improve the EH&S organization to provide value to our company. Manage risk and promote culture change to reduce the probability of EH&S incidents. Advise site management. Manage compliance with all EH&S Regulations. Develop EH&S vision aligned with company strategy. Project manage change initiatives. Advise on gap analysis and improvements needed.
  • Collaborate and Mentor: Oversee all Site EH&S trainings for all employees and contractors. Deploy behavior-based safety programs. Organize Employee Safety Committee to promote safety awareness and improve the safety of the site. Chair Crisis Planning Team and Community Advisory Panel to maintain good relationships with relevant external partners (authorities/communities/network). Primary contact for Federal, State, and local EH&S regulatory agencies. Coach two direct reports in execution of their roles, and mentor for career development.
  • Improve Efficiency: Ensure safety and health programs are implemented. Ensure emergency planning is effective. Complete and submit regulatory reports. Ensure Measurements reporting is complete and initiate actions to work towards the agreed targets. Track site safety behavioral audits and incidents, analyze trends on audits, incidents and near miss reports and report same to management team. Manage all hazardous and non-hazardous waste activities.

You?

  • Bachelor's degree in EH&S, Engineering or Operations Management; or equivalent experience in a manufacturing setting
  • 5+ years experience managing EH&S Programs in a manufacturing setting. Experience must include air, hazardous waste, wastewater, EPCRA and OSHA
  • OSHA Process Safety Management
  • Compliance programs and participation in Emergency Response Teams
  • Certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Lean manufacturing experience, Six Sigma, continuous improvement processes/methodologies helpful
