About the team

Lead the Corporate Security Operations Team in the Americas region as part of the Global Corporate Security team reporting directly to the Global Security Director, overseeing the Corporate Security program for the Americas region. Oversee and provide direction to the Global Security Operations Center that provides monitoring and maintains the physical security of facilities and offices through use of automated security systems and employee identification card system. Conduct special event planning and provide onsite support, as well as provide Executive protection as required. Define Security Metrics and KPIs. Minimize impact of potential security events by advising senior leaders on threat identification and contingency management.

What you will be doing

  • Enhance the Physical Security presence in the Americas region, as well as at the local level and establish strong working relationships and trust with key leaders and teams in the region.
  • Establish strong working relationships with key individuals and teams across the offices within the Americas region which is essential to accomplishing the regional objectives
  • Liaise with Functional and operational management to determine Security needs and ensuring that they are met
  • Align team members to a common purpose and bring the team together to operate as a high performing organization
  • Commission additional security services for the region according to the identified needs of the Company.
  • Ensure all legally mandated physical security programs are adhered to
  • Work with business teams to ensure corporate (physical) security initiatives are understood and implemented
  • Oversee the design, justification, scheduling, budgeting, implementation and management of physical security program to optimally balance systems, staff, risk, and budget to protect employees, visitors, vendors, assets, and infrastructure
  • Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements
  • Direct program of contracted security services (both human and electronic) in execution of business requirements as measured by SLA's, KPI's, and other indicators
  • Serve as the primary interface and liaison with public safety organizations. Maintain appropriate relationships with local, state, and federal police and other related government agencies
  • Act as liaison with national and international security organizations (such as OSAC)
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to direct investigations into breaches of security
  • Develops close working relationships with management, company peers and industry counterparts to ensure alignment of company goals with current corporate security industry and regulatory trends
  • Coordinates and implements physical security operations and activities to ensure protection of assets while ensuring optimal use of personnel and equipment
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to develop and implement facility security best practices
  • Create and implement physical security procedures in accordance with corporate policies, regulations, directives, and operating procedures
  • Conduct risk/threat assessments and make recommendations as needed to mitigate risk; as well as identify security gaps and opportunities and develop appropriate mitigation recommendations and plans from a multidisciplinary perspective
  • Research and deploy state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques to safeguard organizational assets
  • Conduct security and risk assessments in support of corporate events and provide onsite security and logistical support, as well as Executive protection
  • Performs staff leadership role and promotes motivation through effective management and mentoring
  • Establishes goals and objectives for team performance and manages attainment of those goals
  • Reviews documentation created by team members and peers to provide constructive feedback
  • Communicates effectively with colleagues to address complex physical security and life safety issues
  • Keep senior management apprised on the status of Security issues and initiatives

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or management, criminal justice, security, or a closely related field (required)
  • 10+ years full-time experience in public safety, security, and/or military performing program managerial and leadership responsibilities or highly responsible work relating to tasks assigned to this position

Position Hours of Work/Travel

This is a full-time position, and typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday; but are dependent to meet the needs of the position and may require working extended hours. This position regularly may require long hours and weekend work. Domestic and global travel may be required which could be up to 25%.

This position is based in Cincinnati at the corporate headquarters.
