Job Description
Aerobraze, a division of Wall Colmonoy manufactures turbine engine components like turbine nozzles, turbine vanes, complete turbine engines (both manufacturing and repair), diffusers, honeycomb seals and segments, heat shields, and parts for various turbomachinery. Essential Responsibilities:
  • Implement quality requirements in compliance with various standards (AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, FAA regulations, etc.).
  • Develop and monitor metrics to measure progress and improvements in quality programs.
  • Support plant safety and environmental initiatives.
  • Conduct contract reviews and communicate with customers on quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain processes to ensure quality, cost, and efficiency requirements are met.
  • Coordinate training on quality assurance concepts and tools.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders on quality-related issues.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal and external quality audits.
  • Manage metrology and quality activities, including calibration and testing.
  • Ensure incoming materials and suppliers meet quality expectations.
  • Assist in training personnel for process and product inspection requirements.
  • Maintain written quality standards and procedures.
  • Conduct failure analysis and prevent recurrence of defects.
  • Conduct product and process audits.
  • Ensure products shipped meet quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Review and create Certificates of Conformance for shipping.
  • Manage non-conformances and corrective actions.
  • Perform inspections and NDT inspections at various stages of processing.
Education and Experience
  • 2- or 4-year college degree or equivalent preferred, but not necessary.
  • Ability and willingness to learn in lean, six-sigma, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement principles
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and to read and interpret technical requirements of a quality system
  • Proficient with MS Office and QMS type software
  • Experience with NADCAP standards of special processes and FAA regulations
