Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for the gathering, tracking, analyzing, and archiving of required financial information for the Commercial and Business Banking loan portfolios. This position will work directly with internal bank departments, bank clientele, and external clients. This position will work with management and support the team to identify risk and opportunities and to execute strategies to mitigate that risk.

Job Duties:

This position completes various functions which include but are not limited to:

  • Communicating directly with bankers, bank clientele, and external clients to obtain required financial information to remain in compliance and in preparation for audits, renewals, credit reviews, and criticized asset reporting.
  • Updating financial tracking systems and adhering to the Escalation Process for required financial tracking information that is not received or failed covenants.
  • Reviewing, calculating, and approving borrowing bases and updating the core system with line availability and collateral type.
  • Analyzing financial trends and escalating any red flags, such as an over advanced line of credit governed by a borrowing base, to management for review.
  • Reviewing newly booked Commercial / Business Banking loan documents and credit memos to ensure completeness and accuracy of required tracking information.
  • Curing Commercial / Business Banking payment and maturity delinquencies of assigned portfolio by researching payment histories, working with various internal departments, and / or preparing and sending out appropriate correspondence to bankers and clients.
  • Assessing and assigning appropriate risk ratings for the existing credit portfolio to mitigate risk and remain in compliance.
  • Will perform special projects as assigned.

Education/Experience/Job Skills:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience with an emphasis in Accounting or Business Operations. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Commercial Lending and Credit analysis preferred.
  • Ability to review and interpret financial statements and tax returns.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Analytical skills, critical thinking, and Independent judgement.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Detail oriented, customer service focused, thrive in a team environment.
  • Team player

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience with an emphasis in Accounting or Business Operations.
