As an Aircraft / Shore Networking and RF Communications (NSLC) Subject Matter Expert (SME) , you will:

A week in the life of an Aircraft / Shore Networking and RF Communications (NSLC) Subject Matter Expert (SME) you will:
- Provide deployment, logistics, system engineering, life cycle sustainment engineering, integration, and production support for Department of Defenses (DoD) and Navy qualified systems and subsystems to Government customers
- Support Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Army, Air Force and Department of Homeland Security customers and programs.
- Mentor and/or train junior engineers/technicians
- Complete SOVT and on-site technical assistance on any NSLC-A variant
- Successfully complete Return to Service acceptance plan
- Provide operational coordination of fleet bandwidth between Naval Network Warfare Command (NETWARCOM) and satellite providers
- Act as the primary technical point of contact to resolve issues with leased space and terrestrial services
- Conduct audits of GFE assets installed at commercial teleports
- Conduct annual inspections of commercial teleports to ensure they continually meet contract requirements
- Review and resolve incidences associated with mission activations/operations

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $71,000 - $88,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
