Trimble offers a unique opportunity for a skilled recent graduate to join the Trimble in our Rotational Development Program. In this position you will have the opportunity to use your recently gained knowledge to contribute to the team. Program participants will rotate through 4 different operations functions, providing opportunities to explore a multinational Operations team with broad company exposure. At the end of this 24 month rotation you will continue your Trimble career in the position that best suits your skills and the business needs. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits.

Rotations will generally include time spent in four of the following areas:

Buying/Planning

  • Purchases materials, supplies and services at the most favorable terms for the organization Qualifies vendors, ensures compliance and regulatory needs, evaluates bids, and negotiates prices and terms for purchased goods and services

  • Monitors and tracks orders, monitors vendor quality, and maintains a current database of vendor information

  • Plans and forecasts for future buys based on historical buys, recurring buys and current inventory levels Responsible for reviewing stock to sales ratios, responding to changing sales trends, and ensuring plan sales, plan markups, and plan markdowns are achieved by various teams

  • Plans and coordinates product flow-through, inputs and maintains data in multiple tracking systems


Data Management

  • Performs technical administration duties for data warehouse development and maintenance

  • Provides technical support and coordination during warehouse design, testing and movement to production

  • Acts as a liaison between engineers, data architects, programmers, and analysts

  • Implements and enforces standards and procedures to ensure data is managed consistently and properly integrated within the warehouse

  • Implements business rules via stored procedures, middleware, or other technologies


Supply Chain Management

  • Gathers data and conducts analysis with the goal of improving the organization's

  • Supply chain operations

  • Identifies under-performing areas in the supply chain and suggests improvements or resolutions to problem

  • Contributes to the strategic sourcing and management of a global marketplace


New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Performs NPI forecasts (both box and board); manages and owns all aspects of the integrity of the NPI demand line

  • Maintains NPI work orders, including opening, closing, and resolving variances

  • Responsible for the correct transactional/physical movement of engineering purchased material

  • Assists in the creation, submission and transition of production releases


Distribution and Logistics Management

  • Implements best practices of supply chain management to improve the movement of material through the fulfillment center

  • Analyzes data sets from Oracle WMS and Cognos to drive efficiencies within the materials, shipping, and packout departments

  • Partners with business areas within the operations division to ensure that we are effective custodians of their inventory

Product Engineering (Engineering graduates only)

  • Coordinates transition of new products and product enhancements from concept through the manufacturing process to a finished product

  • Analyzes field related problems, addresses product issues and actively communicates information back to the R&D teams to mitigate repeat mistakes during new product development

  • Supports existing product lines during daily operations and has responsibility for reducing costs and improving efficiency

Education/Experience Required

  • BSc, or MSc in Operations, Supply Chain Management, and/or Engineering with a focus on Operations Management/Supply Chain

  • At least 6 months of previous relevant internship experience required

Preferred Experience

  • Recent leadership experience/involvement in university or elsewhere
